If your vehicle was towed, you may obtain its location, status, and associated fees by calling the number listed, visiting the link or via the QR code.

If your vehicle was towed by the City of Dallas it was transported to one of three locations:

Claiming or Visiting a Vehicle
For the registered owner of a vehicle to retrieve or view their vehicle, they must present a valid form of identification. If someone other than the registered owner is retrieving or viewing the vehicle they must present:
- A valid form of identification and
- A signed title in the claimant's name or
- A notarized Bill of Sale or
- A Dallas Police Report showing the claimant was the driver of the vehicle or
- A notarized Authorization to Release form (see Authorization to Release) or
- A Personal Property Release form from the Lew Sterrett Justice Center or
- Legal repossession documents (see Hold Harmless Affidavit) or
- A notarized Release and Indemnity form (see Next of Kin)
Proof of current financial responsibility (car insurance) must be presented to drive a vehicle from the Dallas Auto Pound. If the claimant cannot present proof that the vehicle is insured at the time of release, the vehicle must be towed from the facility.

Abandoned Vehicle Auction Information
Abandoned vehicles are handled in accordance with Texas Transportation Code, Section 683. An online auction is held weekly, beginning at 7:00am, Tuesday at:
