The Animal Cruelty Unit currently consists of 5 Detectives, 1 Sergeant, and 1 Lieutenant. We are housed at the Southeast Patrol Division, but we investigate cases of animal cruelty across the entire City of Dallas. The Animal Cruelty Unit is responsible for the investigation of the following offenses:
Cruelty to Livestock Animals
Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animals
Attack on Assistance Animal
Dog Fighting
Cockfighting
Bestiality
