Overview of Youth Outreach Unit Programs from the Dallas Police Department. 

The Dallas Police Department's Youth Programs are dedicated to building positive relationships between law enforcement and young people by providing mentorship, leadership development, education, and opportunities for civic engagement. Through programs such as the Police Athletic League (PAL), Explorers, and the Youth Police Advisory Council (YPAC), participants gain valuable life skills, explore careers in public safety, and develop meaningful connections with Dallas Police officers and professional staff. These programs empower youth to become confident leaders while fostering trust, service, and a shared commitment to building stronger, safer communities.
