The Dallas Police Department's Traffic Unit's business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Traffic Unit of the Dallas Police Department handles:

  • The investigation of serious injury or death related to vehicular crashes.
  • The enforcement of traffic laws through selective enforcement.
  • The supervision of crossing children in the City of Dallas School Zones.
