Monthly Three Day Testing
The Dallas Police Department conducts monthly three-day testing for out of town applicants during which the first six steps of applicant processing are completed. This civil service test is on Friday at 9 a.m. and at 1 p.m. at 1500 Marilla Street, Dallas (Dallas City Hall). All applicants, regardless of when they are scheduled for the written test, must report to the Dallas Police Headquarters Building at 1400 S. Lamar Street in Dallas by 7 a.m. on Thursday, to begin the screening and testing process. This is in order to complete all testing steps by Saturday evening. Applicants are later transported to 1500 Marilla Street (Dallas City Hall) for the civil service test, and then returned to complete the testing process. Applicants should expect to arrive early and remain until 6 p.m. each day of the three day testing period.
